Then, he winked and turned to Burr again, acting as if nothing had happened. Alex abruptly retreated into the deep shadows of the alley, breathing hard and sweating as if he'd just had an epiphany. AND, doing this assignment means that it gives Thomas more time to tease him. Alexander's crush on Thomas was probably the most childish thing in the world, but Thomas just teases him about it, and it is the worst thing ever! The older boy even groped him earlier that day! Alexander clicked back into reality as Thomas started to walk towards his locker.
