During the early goldrush of America a lot of stories and folktales arose across settlements. Tales of giants, white bison, and men covered with thick fur enchanted the minds of boys, girls, and men alike. Seeing as the country was just begining to be explored on a larger scale, anything was possible. And one of these stories grew popular amongst the lumberers and cowboys searching the mountains for gold. The Jackalope, said to be a jack rabbit with horns of an antelope and with a temper to match.
