In Ramsey,New Jersey, 1992, Jeremiah Collins is growing up and trying to make sense of his life in the midst of a world suffering from the outbreak of the HIV/AIDS virus. Jeremiah meets Alyssa Conrad, a 16 year old girl who has been HIV positive for most of her life. Though she feels like the world casts her out because of this virus she is cursed with, she finds a friend in Jeremiah who teaches her to make the best of her life. As time interferes with their new friendship, Jeremiah tries everything possible to slow down time to make their moments together last.
