Ella is The Human Marionette.
She was kidnapped when she was just 11-years-old.
Since then, her kidnappers, Eric and Bernie, have formed her into a human marionette. She performs around the country along with others who have been trained just as she has--torn from their lives by Eric and Bernie, forced to perform inhumane acts.
Ella hadn't thought of escaping in years. No, that was too dangerous, and they scared her enough the first time. But then she meets Ashton, the first client to ever see through the show, to see her.
He may just be her way out. She has to at least try.

Scarlett didn't know what to think when she heard about the circus coming to her town; her town was small, rarely anything visited it.
