The devil himself is having nightmares. Chloe wants to help. Dan somehow gets involved eventually. This story takes place around S3E20, "The Angel of San Bernardino," in which Lucifer believes he might be sleep-flying thanks to the unexpected return of his wings. I will probably stray from the original plot a bit, seeing as I don't remember a lot of it.

Not to think of you, I mean, or stumble across a memory of you and tell myself not to think about it...not to feel. I'm trying so hard to forget everything that you made me feel." Everything meaning the annoyance, heartbreak, joy, sadness, fear, and love. All of it. "It's just hitting me now that this is the end." *** Three years after Chloe's and Lucifer's last goodbye on his balcony seemed like the end. He never intended on coming back to Earth, the threat of evil being released too great and only he could stop it. But when a larger threat works to over-throw him, Lucifer finds himself returning to Earth to protect Chloe and their friends. Is it the end of these star-crossed lover's epic love story...or is it just the beginning? This began as my take on what might happen in Lucifer season 5 (Netflix) before (and during) all of the teasers. I started writing this about a year ago, after season 5 was announced. Just to let you know: This is a sad story that I had to get out of my mind after rewatching season four. No happy ending!
