Annalise was sixteen when she died saving her brother and sister from a fire. One would think such an act at a young age was a straight ticket to an afterlife she expected. Instead she's in a world of creatures only imagined about and who are only allowed to break through the thinning Veil on Hallow's Eve. The Creature owns a bookshop and usually pretends not to hear when someone unwisely utters the name "Frankenstein." Nevermore makes puns about his writer, Edgar "A. Poe-et" and has a penchant for whiskey. Arachne spins the fabrics for their odd little "town" and complains about the quality of modern day textiles. As an actual human soul, Anna's an oddity and they make sure she knows this. All the while Jack o'Lantern turns out to be a spirit who's free to come and go, unlike the rest of them. And yet he never offers to guide her to Heaven like he usually would. While dealing with the grief of her own life lost, odd things begin to happen. Dreams she shouldn't have bleed into her memories. Memories not her own bleed into her dreams.

So why does that make her heart race with anticipation? Why does the sight of blood make her happy? And why does her brother not care about it at all? What happens when you put a Werewolf Toast, a Silverheart Ghost, a Demon Jimmy, and an Immortal Genius Spencer, with an Overpowered blood-crazed demi-demon girl. ~7/23/18 - #1 in #Venturian ~This is a Ghost/Jimmy X Oc story so please no hate. ~There is a lot of blood and death so trigger warning ahead of time. I don't say it throughout the story. If you don't like bloody details I would not read. The main character is a serial killer. And so is Jimmy so... ~Towards the end of the book things start to get more Triggering so please careful reading if you are sensitive to these things. Such as in a heart to heart, where there is a sort of self-harming section. Also, check out Venturiantale if you don't already know them. *Don't Forget Who You Are! Don't Forget Where You Come From! *COMPLETED* Annalise(Ann) had a simple life. A loving family, and a roof over her head. But when that is taken away, when the king and his men destroy her village and take her life away. She is thrown into a life of servitude to the king. But What happens when the king develops a deep desire for her? Will she fall in love with the merciless King? 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒕: I hear the king get up from his seat and start walking over to me. I see his shoes come into my line of vision. My senses are clouded by his strong scent of cedarwood. I refuse to look up at him. He gives off an aura that is dark and intimidating. My eyes begin to swell with tears at the thought that I will end up like the man before me. "Look at me," he commands in a deep voice. I refuse. He commands again this time more cynical, "Look. at. me!" His voice booms off the walls, echoing in the room. I flinch at the tone but still refuse. Then suddenly, he roughly raised my chin. My eyes meet his cold blue ones. His eyes seem to soften for a moment then quickly return to their cold state. He muttered something under his breath that I didn't catch. He lets go of my chin and walks around, scanning me with his eyes. "What am I to do with you?" He mutters to himself. After a few moments, he is back in front of me. He smirks, "I will make you my personal chambermaid." CONTINUE THE STORY INSIDE... Immortal Memory (Iris' Atlantis 1) by OtsoTu
36 parts Complete Mature
A few dark sabbatical years between university studies mark the past of Timothy, who has a few more memories, of a few more things, than he knows what to do with. He is now trying to restart a study path already once forsaken, in a human life that isn't quite his. A young man in a fragile human body, with a vampire's soul. With the start of a new academic year, he finds old acquaintances and new friends. Clover is a witch, with her magical powers equaling those of an oven glove. And she suspects one of their friends to be possessed by a demon. Lavender however is blissfully oblivious of her friend's suspicions and thinks she is losing her mind with vivid nightmares and huge gaps in her memory. Valentina, meanwhile, would be happy with just one recovered memory. She would love to know how she became tattooed, or even just what the Chinese character on her ankle means. But, as some of her friends know, the price of that one memory might be set higher than she is willing to pay. (There are some ethically interesting choices from the main characters, thus the mature rating. But nothing graficly shocking should be included, just a couple of murders discussed that could absolutely not be avoided.) (All characters are strictly fictional. I feel this should be highlighted, for while inspiration is always tied to the outer world, imagination composes a story out of it and colors the outcome with dreams and nightmares.) Welcome to the future, written in the past. A mutant plague has rendered part of the population as zombie-like humanoids. They have a conscious mind though, but their craving for brains is a bit of an antisocial issue. Being mostly made up of impoverished individuals, it is not surprised that they got cured cheaply and lastly, despite being the main test subjects. Lochlyn is their representative. She just wanted an education beyond elementary school. A little luckier stricken part of the infected population evolved into reverents. Reverants have a feudal system over the zombies to "keep them in order". The luck may have had to do with them being upper-class when being treated. Basilica is their representative. At eighteen, she wanted body modifications, a job, and etc... as a rite of passage entering adulthood. At least that's what she was thinking. The more she was told no, the more she wondered what she could do. There are still uninfected humans left in the U.S.A. Most of them are middle-class. Katrina is their representative. She gained a family member, but lost two. She aches to find out why she can never return home again. The three eighteen-year-old females, along with their beaus, journey for truth, equality, justice, restoration, love, and freedom lead them to the same end: the capital.
