It has been just days since Link and Zelda defeated Calamity Ganon. After over a century of Ganon's rule, Hyrule is not the same place it once was. There is irreparable destruction and the various races are still struggling to recover. Now together again after a hundred years, Link and Zelda have more ahead of them than ever before. The country needs a guiding hand, and as the sole remaining member of the royal family, that task falls on Princess Zelda. However, there is something new in the relationship between the princess and her knight, something neither one of them were willing to admit before the Calamity. After all this time, and all the heartbreak, is it possible for these age-old heroes to have a happy ending?
*WARNING* If you have not completed all aspects of the Breath of the Wild game, there will be spoilers!
*WARNING #2* There will be violence in this fanfiction, as well as blood and whatnot, so if you're more squeamish than most, you might want to skip this story. I didn't rate it mature even though it *may* get intense because it won't be sexually mature :)

The Princess and Her Knight - A Breath of the Wild FanFiction
Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it! The Calamity has been defeated, Hyrule is safe. It may take a good while but eventually the Kingdom of Hyrule might once return for the first time in a century. Everything is normal, up until something new appeared on the Sheikah Slate. Something that would not only change Link's life but the lives of those who suffered at the hands of the Calamity. Zelda sends Link to investigate what these mysterious new readings mean. His adventure is not over yet... far from it. Inspired by "Romance is in the Air" by @Azadia_the_Rito (please check them out their works are incredible) I've decided to try my hand at making a fanfic with the endgame being my favorite pairing: Link x Revali. I know it may seem odd to spoil but I want people to know what they're getting into. (BTW this is my FIRST time writing one of these so please bear with me) This will not be a purely romance story but it will be a major part later on. I just really wanted to dive into this wonderful world with my own touch, so here's how I'm going to do it. To start Revali is my favorite character in Breath of the Wild and I think all the champions deserve more story and interaction with Link. This will be taking place after Calamity Ganon's defeat so be wary of spoilers. This will be a SLOW burn and when I mean slow I mean like halfway between a snail and a glacier. Not crazy slow but just enough to make it worth the payoff. I'll say that right now no matter what happens there will be a happy ending because I can't bring myself to write a sad one. Not that it won't get sad along the way, oh no I'm going to take hearts and mince them into a fine chopped stew of emotion. I promise however I will preface anything I feel worth warning about in the beginning of each chapter in authors notes.
