This is a short and moving tale of two friends, Charles and Frank. They've been close friends for as long as they can remember, and neither have any clue how it happened. Charles is the introverted and anxious friend with a heart bigger than his body, and Frank is the extroverted and optimistic companion with problems bigger than his small mind can handle. Though the two friends have their major differences, they seem to have hit it off pretty well in the past, making them the best of friends.

This is a story of friends and enemies, love and loss, being true to yourself, and keeping it together even when it feels impossible. This is a story of finding your purpose in a seemingly purposeless world. But most importantly... this is Chuck and Frankie's Big Break.

This story was initially written between 2007 - 2008, but been searching for a way of distributing to others. I looked at different publishers to get it published as a book, but no success. Even tried Blurb, which was initially promising. Then a good friend directed me here. It has been written in an American dialect, but I am aware that the concept may not reflect it. But I hope my new readers will enjoy this story as much as my few old ones :) This story is also dedicated to my friend Sarah Hammon who gave me a topic on "What if?" So the characters may temporarily have a different personality, which I hope does not change your mind about the characters :) Happy Reading!! S. T. Haque P.s. Sentences that are in Italic form are the Points Of View (POV) of a character. This story has POVs of two characters. At the top of each chapter, it will tell you which character the POV is in the chapter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prepare yourself for the story of twists and turns! In the day-to-day trenches of high school, it is almost the default-setting to believe we are the main character of our own coming-of-age story. This is not wrong. It's just ours isn't the only story there is. The jocks, the nerds, the cheerleaders, the losers, the stoners, the fangirls, the skaters. Everyone's the realest most important person in existence, all of them, at the same time, first-person narrators to their own stories, stumbling into each other's plot lines, defying the status-quo, catalysts to ups and downs. A deconstruction of all the high school tropes and cliches written over the years, a deep-dive into the psyche of students trying to finish high school while going through irrevocable self-discovery, the most improbable of connections, and the insufferable pains of growing up.
