She soon realizes however that the great Newsies strike of 1889 wasn't everything it was said to be, promises are still being broken and amends and justice to the Newsies were never truly served. Will Katherine's father approve? (Mature rating for suicidal thoughts, sexual assault, strong language, ect. If it was a TV show, it would probably be rated TV-14 or M.) (Don't need to be in the fandom to read. Backstory is very much told and loses the basic plot of the musical after a few chapters in. Perfect if you love historical fiction or historical romance!)
