This is a small collection of poems that I have compiled over the years starting at age 15 stemming from my own personal experiences and observations of the world around me. I am hoping in the future for this to become a book. Cold Water
[BWWM] I was only twelve years old when the world turned cold. The day my mom died in that car accident, I felt like someone had dumped a bucket of ice water over my heart. My dad, who had always been my hero, suddenly became a stranger, filled with rage and blame. He couldn't see that I was hurting, too; he only saw me as a reminder of his loss. The accusations cut deep. He said it was my fault for being there, for not doing something to save her. For being the reason she was in the car in the first place. In the years that followed, things only got worse. The abuse started gradually-a harsh word here, a shove there-but it escalated, leaving scars that I carried long after the physical pain faded. I was drowning in my own despair, struggling to keep my head above water while my father's anger raged like a storm around me. I only had a break from his anger when I started living with Aunt Dina-my mom's older sister. Well, that was because she found me nearly dead on my bed after I took a dozen pills. I was tired of living. I had hit rock bottom. The harsh whispers that followed me around and the stares at school. I pretended not to notice, like it didn't bother me. But it did. I was alone. Overthinking makes the voices in your head imminent and you begin to listen to them. You listen to them because they are the only thing there,the only thing telling you how it is. So you believe what they say; believe you're not worth the good things, believe you deserve the negative things that happen to you, believe that you could have stopped a bad incident from happening and believe it was your fault And that belief grows, it grows unto depressed thoughts and feelings and you start sinking until you become a shadow of your former self *********** Alexa sees life as a gloomy abyss of darkness Yes,she moved to a new city in a new state but it didn't change the mistake she did. Not really here
TW- this story contains SH, addiction, SA, suicide etc. this was the first book i had ever written and it is not edited yet but will be, there will be changes to chapters in the future. A 15 year old girl is being bullied and abused, her life is a living hell. to ease the pain she slices her arms in hopes that it would help, alas it had only made it worse. as the weight of the world became heavier upon her shoulders, her thoughts tell her she is no good. Then one day she cuts to deep that sends her to the hospital, where a nurse takes her in. She soon finds love, hardship & gets pregnant then she is finally happy. But is she really here... Abigail
(In editing) She's depressed. She's anorexic. She's suicidal. She's insecure. Abigail has grown up with her three brothers and James, never meeting her parents, who abandoned her at birth. Her brothers were left to take care of her and keep a roof over their heads. Everyday they struggle to take care of Abigail, while working to keep them in their home. Life for them is hard. Life for Abigail is even harder. She has a dark mind and not by choice. Somewhere along the way she's developed these feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. Everyday is a struggle for her and just getting out of bed is a success. She meets Zach, a bad boy with a bad reputation. He starts off as a tutor, just to help her out, out of pity. But eventually feelings get involved and Abigail finds herself liking a boy for the first time in her life. Things get serious and she somehow learns about his drug dealing business. Everything gets hectic and Abigail doesn't know what to do with her life anymore. Or if she even wants to live.Completa
Suicidal
This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story. Disclosure: I wrote this as a 13-year-old and the writing is definitely not up to my current standards, but I feel as though changing what I have already written would take away from the emotion I put into this story at 13 years old.
