This little short story was written for an anthology entitled "Words to Music". Each story in the collection was inspired by a randomly chosen song. I was allocated "(I will follow you) Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie. This was the result. I've modified the story very slightly from the version in the anthology.

So, with hormones and imagination flying, I wrote 7 stories in a 6 month period that include a scientist's fantastic invention, a War of the Worlds inspired story, a disguised gangster who encounters the officer hunting him down, and a man trying to survive a psycho with a man-eating dog. My teacher liked them, even giving me a school award for these stories in creative writing, so I leave them to you to see if you agree with him. Of course, it's been at least 2 years since these have been written, but I promise nothing but thrills and a non-stop ride of stories to keep you up at night and keep you turning the page for more.
