"To be honest-- as soon as this band came together in person for the first time, things would never be the same. I knew it. They knew it. And in short-- at least one of us was dissapointed on how another one of us looked. The anticipation of us meeting wasn't killed by that however, because we all had one thing we we're all looking forward to... despite the first label meeting being tomorrow." They were more than a band, really. They were a group of friends with tight bonds that never faltered: A group of misfits that needed to stick together through thick and thin. Wet Floor was one of those bands, born and raised on the internet. And although they had an EP made and shared to their fans prior, it wasn't until their single "Inkoming!" released; causing them to blow up, and in result, were offered an opportunity of a lifetime. ... I would put a project like this elsewhere, but this is very experimental given that I've never attempted a style where it switches between character narration and 3rd person writing. Plus I've been wanting to write a multi-chapter fic about Wet Floor for a long time; and now that we have WAY more info on them (Haikara Walker is the art book I needed but not the art book I deserved omg), I've decided that now would be a better time to do so more than ever. I do have an active fic on ao3 that I'm working on updating soon called "My Life As An Online Bootlegger", so if Splatbands aren't so much your thing, I have a story on Annie and, essentially, my take on Splatnet2... Featuring a lot of padding. So please check it out if you have the time and let me know what you think about it! EDIT 7/21/19: some chapters have been slightly revised due to a shift in headcanons
