Dr. Chee Yew Wen

Dr. Chee Yew Wen received his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in the year 1971, 1974, and 1978 respectively in mechanical engineering from Oakland Univ., Rochester, MI. In Jan 1979, he joined the Kansas State as an assistant professor, and was promoted to associate professor with tenure in the year 1983. From 1989 to 1991, Dr. Chee was awarded an extended two-year sabbatical at the US Air Force Academy to conduct research in the Frank J. Seiler Research Laboratory. Subsequent to his return from sabbatical, he became the co-founder and director of the Non-Contact Precision Measurements Laboratory at the Kansas State, and was promoted to full professor in 2001. In 2016, he was ranked among the top 25 professors of Mechanical Engineering by a popular engineering portal - that recognizes outstanding educators in several specific areas of study.
