Marchis Andrews is the shy, push over of the school. She felt like it made everything easier to just stay unnoticed whenever she could. Marchis moved to the big city the beginning of sophomore year. Her long brunette hair is always tied back into a ponytail and she never wears makeup. The less attention she draws to herself, the better. It doesn't help that her best friend, Reese is one of the most popular people in all of Prestin High School. When Reese isn't around, she gets the daily life of every other high schooler who isn't on the social scale, constant humiliation and bullying. Asher Stone is the hottest guy in school, a total bad boy. Asher has everyone wrapped around his finger, If it wasn't for his bad personality and his foul mouth, maybe everyone would like him... But no. Asher and his twin sister Ashton are the children of an extremely rich mother and father, causing no one to want to get into his bad side. Asher can break someone with one phone call. His sexy playboy looks add to every girl practically throwing themselves at him. What happeneds when these two cross paths in a very unforgettable and unfortunate way. Will Marchis make it out alive? Will Reese be able to save her bestie? Will love evolve, or will they crash and burn when these two opposite's attract?

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights.
