Mary's Porcelain Emporium

"You would think the eyes are glass...but look closely." Those chilling words curled into her veins, the grim woman's hand still firmly latched onto Mary's wrist.

"You need to look, please...you need to know what you got yourself into with just returning to this wretched town." The old woman tightened her grip, worry in her voice with each word she took.

But when Mary looked straight into the dolls beady eyes, she peered closer and froze. There were tiny veins on the whites of the eyes, just like a humans. But when Mary reached forward to touch the doll, the woman yanked her back with a shrill shriek. "The doll is alive, Mary! Those eyes...They're real! You must believe me!"
