The overhaul takes place in a fictional democratic union of Southeast Asian countries in the year 2045 where the endemic youth undergo a steady loss of interest and faith in politics despite the success of the alliance regarding economic and social growth. The government has established a quadrennial political program wherein fifty people under thirty-five selected at random are chosen to govern the union for a whole year under the supervision of the current regime.
