"Why am I here, Dionysus?" Nico asked. "Using my government, huh?" Mister D said. "Did I use that right? Actually, nevermind, I don't really care what you kids are saying now. Listen, I need a favor from both of you." "It's nice to see you, too," Nico said. "No it's not," the wine god said. "I'm sober and you're a pain in my ass. Mouthwash counts as me not being allowed to drink alcohol, too, you know? I don't even have to try drinking it, and it turns into Diet Coke. That's some bullshit. And I can say that without getting in trouble because you're adults now." "D," Nico said. "The favor?" "That was rude. I listened to all your problems and dreams, the least you could do is hear me out," he frowned mockingly. Nico smiled. Despite his arrogant demeanor, Nico began to appreciate how much he truly cared as he grew older. Not that anyone would ever hear Dionysus admit that. "I need you guys to watch a kid for me," he said. OR Nico and Will have been through so much together. Wars, quests, and even Tartarus. But its been a few years, and their time to rest is over. Dionysus has a job for them and they quickly find out that caring for a young demigod is more difficult could have guessed. TW: Graphic depictions of violence and use of slurs. As the door opened it closed equally as softly, there was silence and Nico was getting suspicious the person made no noise. Then suddenly felt a sudden pressure being applied to his back and a soft voice spoke, "Morning neeks." The voice was so close to his ear that he felt a chill run up his spine. He tried to push off the bubbly blond but nothing worked so he just let him be and tried to go back to sleep but Will was not having that. "Come on neeks, or We'll be late," Will said as he put his hand under Nico's armpit to hoist him up. He succeed but was met with one of the deadliest glares. *"Che diavolo amico?" Nico spoke out with an attitude, so Will assumed it was bad, but hey he doesn't know Italian. So he just frowned and shot back with his own, *"O te obligo o te levantas tú mismo". Nico didn't understand it Will said it assertively so he took it as a threat and scurried off to the bathroom. From the second you're in this world they tell you what is fair. What questions your allowed to ask and the ones you can never dare say. I find it damn near funny that most of you are reading this and know exactly what I mean. They put you on the path they've paved for you as kids we don't question it or even wonder if it's right for you. But beyond your paths edges is a land made up of risks and dangers. You feared it they tell you no good will come from it but how do you really know? Truth be told I was the girl who had her whole life planned out for her, straight A's, best friend, and two loving parents. I know what I wanted what I needed and I knew how to fight like hell for it. There's a reason why everyone prefers pretty lies over the bitter truth and it's usually because they can't handle the truth but I think the most likely thing is they can't handle what happens to the person once the truth comes out that's what happened to me. I was happy the way things were and then one day everything blew up in my face. Maybe the happy girl I was would have been happy living a lie for the rest of her life but no matter what the truth always comes out. So I ask you what would you have wanted the bitter truth or the pretty lie?
