"Hey! I just met you, and this is crazy; but here's my number, so call me maybe! And all the other boys, are trying to chase me; but here's my number, so call me maybe!-" "What the hell! w-who dances like that?" I remove my headphone and turn around to see none other than Jedrek Dixon laughing his heads off. "What the hell are you doing here in my room? more like how the fuck did you even get in?" He wipes his fake tears off. "The window was open. Duh! Oh, by the way, your dance was highly entertaining." He is trying not to laugh while I turn beetroot red out of embarrassment. "You dare say that again?" I try to hit him with the pillow aiming his head. "Hey! no need to get that feisty now", he says while dodging my unsuccessful attempts. "Enlighten me. Why are you here?" "Oh yeah. well about that, I need you to do something for me. My parents have arranged my marriage with some psycho girl. So I need you to pretend to be my girlfriend. " "And why do you think I'll help you?" "Oh, you will! remember what I've got??" Damn. "Are you blackmailing me?" I ask, narrowing my eyes at him. "No, no. not blackmailing. that makes me sound like a jerk." "You are one.", I state. "Yeah right! as if anyone would believe that." "Oh, your name itself suggests that. Just remove the two letters from your name and you will find out." He pretends that he didn't hear me and then continues, "Let's call it an exchange offer. All you have to do is pretend to be my girlfriend. I'll give you your precious tape back." "When will I get it back?" "As soon as I'm left alone. So deal?" What do I do? God help me. "Exchange offer huh? Fine. Deal." And that's how it started. -- Hey guys! so this is my second book (though I've written only one chapter in the first one ;P) and it's kinda cliche... Hope you guys enjoy!

We were a team. A confidence team, gaining your trust and ripping you off for every penny we could squeeze out of you. Stealing millions between pickpocketing, elaborate schemes against the rich, and knocking off banks; we made it big. We were good, really good at what we did. This time we were too greedy. We couldn't pass up a 4 million dollar art con. Each couple would have walked away with 2 million dollars and we could have settled down and finally started the family we had talked about for years. But he disappeared......in the middle of the night, abandoning me. Until he returned with a bullet hole in his arm and desperation in his eyes. Begging me to help him one last time, but could I ever forgive him? Could I ever look past his betrayal of leaving me in Tennessee to fend for myself and fight off the cops myself? ●●●●●●●●●●●●●● "What were the first words you ever spoke to me?" He asked softly, his thumbs wiping away the wetness from my cheeks. "No." I choked out. "Don't! I don't want to say it." "You said...Hi, my name is Alexis and I just moved into my grandparent's house across the street. Can I play with you? And I knew the moment I laid eyes on you...." "You were 10 years old, you didn't know shit." I croaked. "I may have been 10, but I knew a beautiful girl when I saw one. And you blew the rest of the world out of the water. I may have saved you by leaving you in Tennessee, but at least you still had your grandparents. I had no one if I didn't have you."
