Leo Griffin is just another girl in the great country of Miretis; a land split into five parts: Central, the South, the North, the East, and the West. She has just returned home to North City after attending boarding school in Central. Leo is more than excited to be home. But before her arrival, she's heard nothing but rumors of border skirmishes in the North. Now Leo has found herself back in her old position of being the trumpeter in the North City Brigade. But her training leads her to discover the prince of Miretis who holds a role in whether a neighboring country will invade North City. Leo and Mikyn must help each other to find a way to protect the North while kinda sorta falling in love. But will the sound of a trumpet be the last sound on the battlefield? Or will it be the voice of an enemy?
