The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" Ryan's cheerful whistling echoes throughout the hallway as we emerge in the cafeteria and a small hush settles over everyone. Ryan grabs a tray and then leads us to a table in the corner of the room. Sunlight is streaming through the big glass doors and as I stare my mind begins to go blank, my breathing becoming nonexistent while Ryan and the new guard sit across from me talking quietly. I'm thrown back into my memories and before I can stop it fear is constricting my throat, screams bouncing off the walls around me. Running feet pounding against the floors. Shouts everywhere I turn.
