A life etched out in scarlet along a cold, bare wall. The light fading from their eyes as they commit the unknown, murdered for doing no wrong, and yet warned in profusely in a scrawly sketch. Seemingly without motive, and no definitive MO, the killings increase; the only thing connecting them is the bodies lying on the floor and the writing plastered across the wall.

Meet Miranda, she is a spunky and petite detective who won't take anyone's crap and is well known throughout the cop and criminal world not to mess with her. What looks like a simple bust, turns into something much bigger that she alone cannot handle. She meets Cole who is a police detective who has no clue who she is until it finally clicks when he realizes that the woman bringing down the criminals in his hometown is the same one who he thinks is a child psychologist. It's not long before they become entangled in a web of deceit, lies, murder, but with a bit of romance thrown in. Join Cole and Miranda on a wild ride through a not so simple case.
