Matthew Williams was always the weakest son in his family, unlike his older twin brother Alfred who is very annoying, and is usually forgotten by his family. His family lived in District 12. His father was a man of few words and a very stern look on his face and rarely smiles. His mother is a very shy woman, how she managed to marry his father is a mystery, who is very kind to others.

On the day of the Reaping Matthew and Alfred both received a kiss on the head encase it was one of them who got picked. Matthew was separated from his brother and put with his age group of kids. The only way they pick you is if you put your name in for something that you need, Matthew made sure that he ad Alfred didn't overdue it only put your name in once.

Everything changed on that day, Alfred being afraid of the sight of blood and can't harm another, Alfred's name was called. Matthew did the only thing that he could think of, even though he was terrified himself.
