Hearts Don't Break Around Here
Keith chuckles softly at Lance's faded face in the old photo. He was still a little chubby, couldn't be more than eleven years old, but nevertheless had his arms slung over the shoulders of two pretty, giggling girls. The smug grin on his face is dazzling. Keith wonders how Lance, to this day, manages to make it look so believable. -- Or, Lance and Keith have been best friends since first grade. Lance's brain is always on overdrive and Keith's blunt, realistic ass can never keep up. They both come to realize that sometimes you can learn a lot about loving yourself by loving someone else. ---- I did not make this fanfic, a lovely writer on archiveofourown did, and the user is klancekorner. Keith returns from a month of missions with the BOM, Lance is happy to be reunited with his boyfriend again, eager for some alone time. But Keith comes back more Galra than human. -- ** A moment of silence passes by before Keith opens his mouth to address him, "Are you afraid?" Canines glint between his lips as Lance watches his mouth form words.<br /> His brows crease together as he realizes the meaning behind that question. No, he's definitely not afraid of Keith. Instead of voicing an answer, he wraps his arms around the sturdy neck to pull his head down and meet his lips in a kiss that will hopefully convey his feelings. ** -- cover isn't mineComplete
