This is a short story that I entered in for the 2018/19 young writers competition my school forces everyone in the county to do. It involves zombies, gruesome scenes, and some things that may trigger people that have been through memory loss.

Lost In A Deadly Paradise
The school started off as any other school year for Autumn Winters. But at the worst possible moment an outbreak occured and the whole school turned into chaos. Autumn and her misfit group of friends make it out of the school, trying to fight for their lives as the people they once knew and maybe even loved tried to bite at their flesh. The group met new people and made new friends, as well as making even more enimies as if them all being stuck with eachother wasn't bad enough. A seven year old girl trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a fairly small city in rural New Mexico. This is the third in my short story series taken from the universe created for my first book. Ardamin: Clone #7. These short stories are more horror focused than the main book. But how can you tell the story of a zombie apocalypse without some horror? This story is unedited and first draft as keeping with my first two short stories posted to Instagram and therefore will not be polished or fixed with multiple drafts leading to an end product. This story was meant to be raw or just as it poured from my head. Spelling and punctuation errors are only to be expected, if the cause you some offence well... that's just the way this story was made. A group of six classmates are at break in school. A girl 'suddenly' gets sick. Turns out she had a dangerous zombie virus. The virus spreads quickly, turning more people into mindless, bloodthirsty creatures. After narrowly escaping the school, the group realizes the infection has spread beyond their school, threatening the entire world. Along the way, they find another survivor. Once New Orleans became infected with the "Dark flu" everything changed. School became a doctors appointment and adults beame freakishly worried parents. Just as everyone was getting used to the daily checks, the flu suddenly became deadly. But not everyone is staying dead.
