Yokai is perfectly fine being invisible, why wouldn't he? He's a ghost . At his boarding school, the quiet corner of the courtyard and the well-worn pages of his books are his only companions. He's built walls so high that no one bothers to climb them-or so he thought.
Then Sergei enters the picture. Loud, persistent, and far too curious for his own good, Sergei seems determined to unearth every piece of Yokai he's spent years hiding. From unwelcome conversations to chance encounters, Sergei has a way of being everywhere Yokai doesn't want him to be. And worse, Sergei doesn't seem to care about the cold shoulder-or the icy glare.
As their paths continue to cross, Yokai finds his carefully constructed solitude slipping through his fingers. But Sergei has his own reasons for sticking around, and behind the teasing smiles and casual remarks lies something neither of them fully understands.
