/Underfell Chara x Papyrus/ "It hurts"

As if she were some clingy child, she wrapped her arms around him, in a gentle and heartfelt hug. Her fists clenched the material of his scarf as she buried her chin into his shoulder, almost nuzzling it. Papyrus's arms became lifelessly numb, as he attempted to register what the hell had just occured. Chara simply softed her expression.

"It hurts, doesn't it?"

.....

"When nobody understands."

She did not want to let go.

For the first time in his existence, he did something irrational. He placed a hand on her back and clenched the material of her sweater firmly, returning her hug. He couldn't quite comprehend what drove him to do such a thing. Now, the great and terrible Papyrus was entrapped in a strange daze of disbelief as he sought in her something he was not able to grasp. Was he truly trying to comfort her?
