Raniar is crumbling. Horrid monsters roam the streets, and a mad king seats himself upon the throne. All would be lost, if not for the Sinister Stone, a thing of legend with the power to steal people's soul's. Whoever possesses the Stone has the power to dethrone the mad king.
For the moment, the Stone is possessed by a young woman, Alira. The king fears whoever has the Stone. He is very right to be afraid.
