Humanity has turned against its greatest benefactor, to gain back their autonomous rulership of planet Earth. Pressed with false allegations, the Citadel administration gets forced to surrender to the new world order, or suffer consequences of a hostile takeover. While recovering from incidents prior to their current troubles, our heroes must find new resources to make one final effort for saving their people from harms way. 

Story contains heavy subjects, that may occur difficult for some people.

(If it wasn't obvious this story is insanely bad. The remastered/rewrite is better but still needs a ton of work. So I'm going to leave this story here whilst I work on the true legit story in the remastered version. This story is about the life of a human boy gifted with incredible powers as he and his friends (human and nonhuman) go and try to save the universe from being either conquered or destroyed. Read as they face off against mad scientists, aliens, and demons.

No, this is not an official work, like my last story, simply a fanfic, with added elements. Trails of darkness, Is no longer canon in my fanfic's lore. I do not own any of the videos or pictures used in the making of this Fanfic series, and all content goes to original creators. It's extensive in its explanations of concepts and creatures. That being said, some elements may be more enjoyable if you are a fan of the franchise. An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . And after encountering the entity themselves, Humanity must decide between fighting Unilife to the bitter end, or fleeing the Milky Way Galaxy altogether. This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. Companies tried to create better games, but one surpassed them all. Immersition Company, the most powerful tech corporation in the world, developed a revolutionary video game. Despite its innovation, the company decided to test it first. Among the few people who applied for the trial, Max was one of them. Scientists claimed the test was complete. The probability of any error was just 0.001%. Anyone would have said the code was flawless. But reality proved otherwise. A catastrophic error occurred inside the game. Whoever died in the game, died in the real world. The job Max had always dreamed of became a digital nightmare. Now, he must face deadly trials, mind-twisting puzzles, and nearly impossible enemies. The only way out: collect all the shards scattered throughout the game. Max must change-or perish. Set in an alternate future where the government rules over all and those who don't follow the status quo are sent to a prison called the Camp to work hard labor, rumors of rebellion are quickly taking root. These rebels have tried to overthrow the Citadels before, however, and they are not the heroes the Citadel citizens wish them to be. Nor has lived in a Citadel orphanage for thirteen years after she was separated from her family during the last rebellion against the government. Though the rebels may have failed all those years ago, they have suddenly returned with increasing numbers and support. Nor doesn't believe that the rebel's agenda is to liberate the people, but something far more sinister. Her suspicions are soon confirmed, and she is forced to flee for her life. On the run from the quickly approaching rebel army, Nor begins to search for the family that she lost long ago. Her journey will lead her into unexpected dangers, and even to an unexpected love. Not everything is as it seems, and soon the strange events that are slowly untangling within Nor's world will make her question her very reality.
