Xiomara Garcia didn't expect for her mother to kill herself. She also didn't expect to be put in her father's house in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, even though she had no relationship with him. She is forced to start a new life there, and she couldn't be more pissed. She is confused and angry with everything. Why did her mother kill herself? Why did her dad leave her when she was born? The only thing she was glad about was that she was in her last year of high school and will soon be away in college. At school, she was looked at as the "new hot and mysterious" girl, and all of the boys are all over her. But out of all of the boys, Xiomara caught Xavier Hayes' eyes. Little did Xavier know, Xiomara has a secret. And it was dragging her down, farther than she thought it would ever take her. Could Xavier still love Xiomara after he found out the ugly truth?

"You expect me to forget everything?" His voice comes out as a whisper. "To act like it doesn't hurt me to see you with him or that I'm still not crazy in love with you?" "Mason." I gulp nervously and fold my arms. "I can't do that. I can't. I love you, Maya." I look up at him and softly gasp. He still loves me? Tears fill my eyes but I blink them back. I shake off every doubting thought I had in my mind and run to him. *** Two years should be enough to get over someone, right? It's already difficult for Maya Banks and Mason Wilder to forget each other even after all that time apart. When fate plays a cruel joke on them and brings them into each other's lives for the second time, they're forced to explore old emotions. Will their traumatic past come in the way of their love or will love triangles and guilt do the trick? Sequel to A Kiss for Maya.
