When his "sister", Lust, orders him to assassinate a human who has uncovered valuable information on the Homunculi, his victim ends up being shot off a building before his very eyes. Uncertain on WHY he does, Envy saves him. What will become of Envy and this human? This species that he absolutely loaths?

Lever is the daughter of the lead scientist who developed the Dark Mist drug, which is an aggressive version of the drug Breakdown. She offhandedly works with the military and is on a mission to save her father who overdosed on Dark Mist. Along this journey, we encounter several eccentric, colorful characters. A carfree blind girl named Maliezza, who is a walking contradiction. Her group of friends, each with a unique power that they honed while being raised in an orphanage. Dokusei, a charming, yet cocky mercenary who supplies the gang with weapons and escorts them on missions. Additionally, there are a number of dark, powerful figures known as Reapers who have ascended to a higher level of power due to having a hefty kill count. All odds appear to be against Rex and his squad. Can he defeat the military? Will Lever leave the military and fight for the other side?
