49 parts Complete Mature
Most days, you can find Mizuki Nekoyama in Hell, creeping through pitch-black passages, disabling deadly traps, and avoiding even-deadlier monsters. But that's the job of a Scout; highly-trained and extremely-capable individuals willing to brave the Depths in exchange for money, power and prestige. Most often, however, their careers are cut short between heartbeats if they let their guard down for just a single second. For the past five years, Mizuki, or 'Zen', has lived with the guilt that comes with losing her friends and lover inside one of the nation's Dungeons, and has searched far and wide for the person she believes is responsible for their tragic demise. She might be obsessive, compulsive, brutal, and slightly crazed, yet its exactly those traits which will allow her to progress in her mission; track down her quarry; and along the way found an organization capable of bringing entire nations to their knees. (Note: Cover Art ripped from a Google search. Whomever the creator is has an amazing talent, and I hope they go on to do Many Great Things.) A young girl named Sakura lived as a normal high school student with her siblings until one day she was taken away from them. Saving a life ended up making her worthy. Worthy of what you may ask. Well, turning her into her avatar from her favorite video game in another world of course. This is all good except her avatar is named Yuuya, a male fox beastman, with high magic abilities and unique tools. Not only that, the world she's been transported to is filled with not just humans, but also nonhumans such as elves, demons, fairies, and other beastmen that don't get along with each other and are afraid of a special species known as dragons, a type of demigod. How is the newly born hero suppose to bring the world back together and defeat the dragons? By becoming another type of demigod herself: a kitsune, the symbol of peace that has sworn to protect the residents of this world from chaos and destruction. Luckily, everyone believes in the prophecy told by the last kitsune and Yuuya fits the bill perfectly. Now, if only she could believe in the prophecy as well.
