GIFTED takes place in Canada, in a world around 2000. A great light rained down onto the world, killing 1/4 of all living things and making them undead creatures. The other 3/4 of Earth was given "Gifts" by this light. From the light's effects, Earth changed, and another Ice Age has began.

In the wild lands of Aurora, from the frozen seas in the north to the dusty peaks in the south, a war was raged. The war was between two great powers.
