The Consortium could do so much more for the poor and oppressed, if their own corrupt leaders would only stand aside and let them. But they won't. So they must be pushed aside, at whatever cost.
Jake, an American boy, continues his job delivering supplies for the Consortium in North Africa. But it's a region increasingly torn apart by civil unrest and revolution. The poor want more help from the consortium. Local warlords and corrupt politicians want to keep their power. Jake has never experienced anything like it, being in the middle of a huge social upheaval. He has no clue what is going to happen, but he knows where he belongs, in the middle of it all.

None of them are prepared for the wars they'll fight through, or even the truth. This is the first book I ever ever wrote, so it's a little rough. Consider it non-canon. This takes place well after the Silent Veil, at the end of ACT 1 for the overarching plot. This contains spoilers basically, but most of those plot points have changed anyways since this book was written. There are also themes I don't exactly align with anymore.
