Although her mind told her no, she let her head snap towards his voice and her eyes glare down at him. "I don't remember agreeing that we were on speaking terms," she growled through gritted teeth.

"Keep your fire calmed," he said raising his hands in mock surrender. From afar the group of teenagers heard his father call his name.  His smile reappeared on his lips and he turned to walk away, but not before the few words rolled off his tongue, "You'll come around, love."
