In a future where imagination is illegal, the human mind has adapted to physically project dreams into reality. These dreams are called 'anomalies' and considered willful acts of rebellion. Brenna Shard is a member of the Anomaly Police Task Force and works hard to erase these breaches of reality. She doesn't question her government's motives nor does she show mercy to her enemy. But even a law abiding officer like herself has secrets.

The Dreaming: Old Shalon (Book 4)
~ The Dreaming: Old Shalon's Story ~ It's the year 2067, and I am living in the shattered remains of Old Vancouver -- after the Cascadia quake, after WW3, after it all ended. I've been surviving all these years through the help of a young boy named Michael, a wildling, an orphan, one of the Forgotten. He's been with me since he was a little one, but now he's all grown up. This morning he told me he's going to leave Old Vancouver. He wants me to come with him... But that's ridiculous! How can I do that? I'm too old for those kinds of shenanigans.... ------ The Dreaming is a novel series spanning over 200 years and designed to be read in ANY order YOU choose. Start with any of these that interest you: - 2257: Imorah's Story --> Imorah has lived her entire life underground in The Shelter, with a religious cult called The Family. She's never seen the sky or breathed fresh air and The Family is the only thing she's ever known. One day Imorah's Grandmother disappears. They say it was a suicide, but Imorah knows better. The only clue Imorah has is the book that her Grandmother left behind -- a book that Imorah can't even read. - 2257: Liran's Story follows a young man who struggles to survive in the deserts of what is left of North America. One day he finds an old technological relic -- a robot head that still functions -- and Liran is thrust into a dangerous web of secrets and lies. - 2063: Old Shalon's Story --> this is Old Shalon's Story, please read story blurb above. COMING SOON. Starting sometime late in 2015, I will post the last installment of The Dreaming, where these five narratives will collide. Five lives bound together by an ancient book whose language has long died out, in a time and place where books are not only taboo, but could actually get you killed. The Dreaming: a place where time has no meaning, and everything is connected. All rights reserved. Copyright by Shalon Sims, 2019.Concluida
Shards of Kairos
'There's something beyond the mirrors...' She should probably be choosing her majors for college, considering a career, and the direction for the rest of her life. Instead - she's still working at the small town coffee shop where she got her first job. And while commuting from a bigger city to the much smaller town of Briarsfield where she grew up is a pain, Evie likes the stability. The normalcy. Because the dreams or nightmares that Evie had started having a little over a year ago now are anything but normal. Dreams of an endless void of fog. They've persisted and refused to leave her alone now for months. And Evie is haunted by the chilling feeling that she is not alone in the fog. But when the fog suddenly becomes real, weather completely uncommon for Briarsfield at this time of year, Evie wakes up to a sensation of dread. And that something is very different. And very wrong. That something has changed and she's been suddenly put at the epicenter. At the precipice of something life altering. Or world ending.Concluida
