During their investigation into the disappearances at Weston College, Quinlan's body began to change. She could sense bodies, speak multiple languages, and a disembodied voice now worked through her to save her. Lord Ciel Phantomhive and his demon butler Sebastian Michaelis have no other choice but to keep her close to monitor the changes.

However, Quinlan's struggle to understand the thing inside her only worsens the longer they let it fester. Its hand on her is tightening, and all she can do is watch as the demon she loves and the child she wants to protect slip away in shadows.
