Color. It's something our brain makes up. It doesn't really exist. So how come everyone made a big fuss about meeting and touching their soulmate so they could see in color? After all, what's so bad about black and white? Aren't they colors too? That's what Nico thought anyway. When he was younger he had tried to imagine a new color but had never been able to. His sister had died seeing the world in black in white. Nico didn't see the point of color. That is, until he touches his soulmate and sees what he's been missing out on... Edited January 2024.

The difficulty is determining what the mark means, and Arthur thinks that's the stupidest part of this whole "soulmate" thing. How many people actually find their soulmates when all they have to go on is something as insignificant as what amounts to a birthmark? Arthur's is really ridiculous. It's...well, it's so ridiculous Arthur knows that even if he manages to find out who his soulmate is - and why on earth this thing is so special to him - he'll be so horrendously ridiculous that Arthur won't be able to like him even if he tried.
