A girl who grew up with Wilds is forced to go on the run after her pack is attacked. She and the only other survivor of the pack struggle to survive. They come across a town with plenty of food, so she sticks around for a while. The town members plan to capture the strange female, and end up with more than they bargained for. They haul her from pack to pack, trying to get some answers.

A girl catches both our attentions, his, and mine. She opens her mouth to speak to the man but snaps it shut when he holds a finger up to his lips. Seconds go by, three bodies ready to spring into action. The man breaks the standoff with his large exhale. "What is it?" His smooth voice sends an unwarranted shiver down my spine. "Alpha, The Shifter and Alpha Couple are here." The man's head jerks slightly to the side, as if he heard incorrectly. "Is there a problem?" He accuses no one in particular. The girl nods her head feverishly. "The Shifter, they were freaking out. Alpha and Luna Prager tried to calm them, but couldn't. They ran off." The man nods. "I thought they had it contained." His temper is showing. I can see shock and slight fear on the girls face. She now looks over his posture, seeing how tense it is. Her eyes linger longer than needed. A silent vibration leaves my chest. Unknown feelings bubble up from a dark place I never knew existed. The man perks up, seeming to feel the silent warning. "Right, sorry, Alpha. Alpha Prager is needing you to assist in setting up a search." The man nods and tells the girl to tell Charlie. He doesn't move until the girl is gone. When she is, his head snaps to the area I'm hiding in. I watch as his eyes scan back and forth, getting closer to mine with each pass. The wind picks up, flowing under my fur. My scent is passed over the man, who inhales deeply, closing his eyes. When he opens them again, they meet mine. Under his breath, he whispers a quiet, "Found you."
