Lance forced himself to stretch out a smile,his wound throbbing painfully as blood seeps out. Looking around at the white vast,he felt a swarm of happiness flutter in his heart.
"We finally did it,Keith," Lance whispers as his hand clutches Keith's hand, Keith returns the gesture,though tears threatening to spill from his eyes.
"yeah,we did it," Keith said softly to the boy in his arms. His chest throbbing with pain for the blue boy he cradles.
"Keith," Lance said,voice barely audible but Keith was paying very much attention to him,the way he always did. With a shaky nod,Keith manages to choke back a sob as he hears his favorite person's voice,struggling to make out words,just as he is too right now.
"yeah?" placing a hand on Lance's cheek,he rubs his cheek with his thumb comfortingly "You know. . . we made a great team. . ." by now,Keith wasn't able to contain his tears from spilling and let it trail down the lifeless boy's face. The hand clutching his going limp as he bites his lip in a futile attempt to stop the tears,he shakes,the painful aching in his chest now filled with sadness.
"Lance. . .we gotta stop bonding like this. . ."
