A world where the rich live in lavish and luxury on islands far away and the poor scavenge for food and sanity on the mainland. The rich have access to Programs: wiped human beings with dutiful programmings. Raine, the girl who survived the night, is taken and sold to a high ranked man who treats her life as if she's a game to win. She must deal with this man who is far too witty, seductive, and charming. Her life as she knew it is far gone and she is faced with challenges that are unthinkable. - "You, my dear, survived the night. This means you escaped the consequences of your actions. This means that you are in debt to the islands and you will serve your time." - Author note: this story is definitely in the making. Comments are appreciated! I'd love to hear ideas and thoughts. "Almost, Always" 🍁🌹 Some people enter your life like whispers...soft, sudden, and gone before you can hold on. She didn't expect to see him again. Not after years, not like this. Not when she had finally learned how to forget the boy who never truly left her mind. But fate isn't loud..it's quiet, casual... cruel. In a classroom filled with noise, their glances screamed stories. A slow-burn connection, unsaid words, and almosts that could've been everything. This is not a fairytale. This is a memory rewritten..with the ending she deserved.
