A dystopian young adult novel involving romance, secret experiments on human subjects, and a group of teenagers' will to survive. Reader Comments: "I'm gonna gush about your book real quick...all the technology has a purpose and is beautifully explained so I can picture it in my mind...the whole concept of the book is completely original...*moment of silence for your beautiful arch of character development* everything your characters do is strictly them but they develop enough to show more about themselves without you straight up telling the reader about them" -Vairl9023 "Ahh!!! This is so good!! I will be anxiously awaiting the next Chapter!!" -CrystalBagot "Brilliant...ohh, this is very catchy, good work" -IndeeMaynard "I love this so far" -BrianneMorris "You've done a great job at creating a mysterious mood" -poisonedpen *** All Evita Creedy, 17, wants is to finish her degree and be accepted for a prestigious job with the city's Department of Energy. I recommend reading the first two parts before this! After only two weeks into the anthro takeover, things have gone right and wrong on both sides. Emma, Cody, Eric, and many more human and engine survivors have fought to escape to a safe haven within the Biltmore estate and village in North Carolina. However, with tension between new and old faces slowly arising, everyone will inevitably have to face the war in order to survive, or at least make it out while staying themselves, physically and mentally. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, June and her friends and family just fighting to stay alive slowly begin to realize they're more important than they think. As not long after, they're forced back into battle to help continue their part in bringing about the end of the human race. However, many don't realize at first that they have more in common than they think. All they know is that many of those they've been acquainted with will likely make it out alive or as themselves. Now it's up to them to partner with their new and old friends and equate one another as allies against powerful forces in order to protect themselves, and all they ever cared about before it's too late. After the Rise

32 parts Ongoing

After gaining teleportation powers in a tragic accident that, depending on who you ask, may have been entirely his fault, Ethan is on the brink of reaching his goal and becoming Ascension's newest Protector. It cost him every relationship he had, but nobody said purposefully altering your DNA to become a superhero would be easy. Things would be a lot easier if Ethan also hadn't accidentally created the newest supervillain to roam Ascension, armed with incredible powers and a seeming vendetta against his sister, the mighty Protector known as Titan. And it'd be great if the breach points popping up in the mountains outside of Ascension and moving ever closer weren't directly related to Ethan gaining abilities in the first place, but nobody has to know about that part, right? Ethan can keep it all a secret if he can team up with an eccentric Apex scientist to fix the breaches before they swallow Ascension whole and stop Slate before she kills Titan. Then nobody would have to know it was all his fault in the first place, right? He'd also like to get his best friend Raz talking to him again, but that may be the hardest goal to achieve of them all. Ethan can go anywhere he wants, but he'll soon find out that the only way to fix what he's broken is to stay put. Unfortunately for him, after you burn every bridge you've ever crossed, staying in one place has an unpleasant side effect: It makes you a pretty easy target.
