I stared into his eyes, not blinking, not moving, he picked at his palms and swallowed the tears. Finally he spoke.

"I always have...and I always will..."
I turned my head away, my mask hiding my true emotions. A blank canvas.

"Well, stop...because we're through."
I left his apartment with a sinking feeling, a hot tingle throughout my entire body.

Did I make the right decision....or did I just lose the one person who could make me feel something?
