The Parallels
Everything changed when that power plant exploded, when the two worlds combined. Everybody has a doppelganger, a much darker, much more sinister doppelganger. But now there's a serial killer loose on campus and the second players are suspect. Can Matthew and his friends solve the case and restore the relationship between the two parallels or will this murder result in an all out war? Canada, also known as Matthew Williams, is always being ignored. He is constently confused for his brother America, known as Alfred F. Jones, and beaten up by other countries and nations just to 'get even with America'. Everybody thinks Canada is a weak country, that it's never seen war, that its people have never died for a cause. Canada decides to not go to a meeting one day to help his air force practice in case of an emergency. When the countries and nations realize he isn't there, they find a strange book instead. They decide to read it and find a note on the inside. Will everyone realize that maybe some ignore Canada because he makes them uncomfortable? Or is it just because he is usually peaceful? The book holds many secrets about Canada, some probably should be left in the dark, but only if the nations react badly. Okay, disclaimer, probably not terrible secrets, but this will be interesting. But will reading the book really help?Complete

Is the clown the fool of the story, or are you? After all, the clown knows it's an act, but the audience is so lost in it that they tend to forget. Alfred had lived a long life. He'd learned a lot in it. That England was easy to gaslight if you knew what you were doing. France would back away from any show of force. Germany could ignore a bumbling idiot even as the evidence piled up just because he wasn't very good with people. Poland saw everything and read people like a book. Prussia would keep his mouth shut if you gave him enough liquor or made him obedient. Russia would turn a blind eye if you turned one to him. China never trusted anyone even if there was evidence of the contrary. His mother's revenge would play out, and it would make him the happiest man in the world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hetalia:Axis Powers. No ships in this book! If there is it's in the past! Union's Brood
After the second American Civil War, the world changes drastically. A new nation stood where the United States once was, the Last Empire having fallen to its own people. Addicted to more chemicals than a lab rat, Alfred has a hard time keeping his head up- quite literally. It's not that he doesn't want to quit- believe me, he does!- it's just that the withdrawal is destroying him from the inside out. What makes it worse, is when he's placed into an arranged marriage as a landgrab, and then told about it just before it happened. Now he is wrestling with both his addiction, and someone he was supposed to marry in 1860! Ivan was an addict, once. He understood the pain of withdrawal. He wants to help, since there was nobody around to help him. The idea of joining the Union was one he hadn't even thought of before his boss had arranged the marriage with the dictatrix. Now, he was thrown into a world he didn't know, forced to interact with people he had never met, and be one of the first nations, the third most powerful, to join a mega-nation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Extra: Alfred is headcannoned as brown get over it.
