Jake Owensby was the son of a pro hero. That was until his father died. And he was ridiculed for wanting to become a hero, that was until he brought out a brand spanking new quirk during his daily "get the shit beaten out of him" session. Now with renewed determination, nothing can stop him from reaching his dreams!
With his newfound power he vows to become a protector of those who cannot protect themselves and always smile always cast off fear. (Just some credits here for the sake of copyright, I do not own My hero academia, the characters or the plot, they all belong to Kohei Horikoshi but any and all ocs mostly belong to me, as they are original content that some friends of mine helped make. Those friends are Irrelevant Bystander and carter on the My Hero academia amino. Please go and check them out.)

In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey? Friends? Love? Hardships? That's for you to find out. [This is a rework of my first book ever, "What It Means To Be A Hero"] --- I do not own any claims/rights to the My Hero Academia verse, all rights go to Kosei Horikoshi. I only own the original characters I've added to the story, and the arts I add in the book. In case the art doesn't belong to me, I'll credit the said person in the comments. Peace. "An afternoon to forget..." Mha Fan Fiction story ON REWORK. by TheKenwar
1 part Ongoing Mature
"Tell me, what are dreams for you? Are they just part of your imagination when you reach a certain stage of sleep? Because for me, they are images of what was and what could have been, memories of an afternoon that is made to be forgotten, a story that is meant to be untold, and a misfortune that is supposed to remain buried in the confines of my cloudy mind.. But still, I keep reliving that afternoon every night when I sleep, imagining what could have been, what I could have done, why I'm still here, these dreams have driven me to the brink of insanity and... Now the world decides to see me as a villain once again, as the bad guy and not the victim, a victim who never received his happy ending. At first I was too weak to accept it but now... I will be the villain of this unfinished comedy and I assure you that I will be the best villain that exists before being discarded from this story of intertwined legends, this is... My story made to forget." Hello everyone! For the people who are reading this, this is my first fan fic so I hope you will forgive my mistakes, in this story within the universe of the anime My hero academia we will follow Raiden Kenneth, a boy who is about to enter his dream hero academy, in this story, I plan to stay fairly faithful to the original line of the anime, but it will also have its completely original arcs that you will be able to see as I upload the chapters, do not be fooled because it will not be as simple as it sounds!
