Jake Owensby was the son of a pro hero. That was until his father died. And he was ridiculed for wanting to become a hero, that was until he brought out a brand spanking new quirk during his daily "get the shit beaten out of him" session. Now with renewed determination, nothing can stop him from reaching his dreams!
With his newfound power he vows to become a protector of those who cannot protect themselves and always smile always cast off fear. (Just some credits here for the sake of copyright, I do not own My hero academia, the characters or the plot, they all belong to Kohei Horikoshi but any and all ocs mostly belong to me, as they are original content that some friends of mine helped make. (Y/n)'s grandfather was a Pro-Hero in Japan. One of the best, in fact. He was in the top 20 Pro-Heroes. His Hero name was 'Manipulator' and his Quirk was Mind Manipulation. (Y/n) admired him a lot so when she heard that her family was going back to Japan, she wanted to tell him all about her Quirk. But sadly, when they got there, she was told that her grandfather died. They didn't stay there for long though, after their visit to Japan, they went back to America. Then 9 years later, (Y/n)'s parents decided to go back in Japan. To finally live there. (Y/n) was excited, thinking she'll not be homeschooled anymore because she was homeschooled all her life ever since her father's father's death. But due to strict parents, she continued homeschooling. 1 year later, she was bored. As always. So she decided to have a little fun around, only for her fate to turn around... ! It would've been years before they come face-to-face with their lost former family member. He's saved two little kids from big time villains, defeated Hero Killer Stain, and survived two villain attacks in only his first year at UA, the top hero school in the country. You wouldn't expect him to have three part-time jobs, an impossibly sick mother, and to live in a dingy gang infested neighborhood, working himself to the bone just for dinner. You wouldn't expect him to make money by doing street performances with a break dancing group, or winning bets with the many gangs in the neighborhood. You certainly wouldn't expect the hero-in-training to commit petty theft to provide for the four other poor families that live on his street. But it's all true. He lives in a poor neighborhood where no one has a decent job and there isn't a single hero, not even an underground one. The kids there have only been to the city once or twice, and none of them have parents. One girl does, and was left there willingly. They regularly have to fight off the vermin trying to take their food, and consider a single dollar a fortune. This is Izuku's home. and, if his teacher doesn't find out what's going on soon and save him, it may be his deathbed.
