Natsu. He likes Lucy. He has ever since he set eyes on the beautiful human being named Lucy Heartfilia. But, there is a downside of they ever did become a couple. They were in a guild. This means that anyone could get permanently injured or even killed. But he loves her. Craves her. He just can't live without her.
Lucy. She also has feelings for the flaming dragon slayer. She felt a strong desire for him when they first met, almost like magnets being pulled together. She knows how dangerous her job as a guild member is but she loves it. But she loves Natsu more than anything in the entire universe, so much so that it actually scares her slightly.
They both know if they lost each other the y would be devastated. But their love was so strong that they could not hold back any longer they needed each other so much, so desperately. They are in love. They were always going to be afraid of losing each other. Anything and everything could happen. And it did a lot happened to them, very little good. Will they live Happily Ever After or Not? What will become of them?

It took Lucy and Natsu years to finally admit their feelings for each other. And once that happened they whole-heartidly believed they got their happily ever after. If only life were that easy. Natsu's heart broke after Lucy disappeared for long years, and broke once more when he thought they finally found her only to find out she was taken from him once again. In her place however they found a short mouthy pink haired girl with Lucy's eyes, and a deep hatred for magic and anything connected to it. What happened to Lucy and why does this young girl that looks so much like him seem to hate the very core of his existence? (I started this book when I was 14 and honestly now that I'm rereading all of it, many things are more than cringe. I'm not going to change the original storyline or plot but certain plot points might be slightly altered to fit this new version. It's the mating season of the Dragon Slayers. They're all looking for their mates. Everyone is finding their mate on their first day. Everyone but Natsu. He hesitates and worries because he can't find her yet. Lisanna is convinced that she's Natsu's mate and sets out to seduce him. Natsu, on the other hand, refuses her. Natsu knows she isn't his mate or he would have mated with her already. Lucy was warned of this but doubted that she wasn't his mate. But right after Lucy comes back from a 3-day-long job.
