Luc the Riolu is on the verge of his 17th name day, with the hopes of evolving into his final form, with that being the final step into becoming a man. But the stairs he must climb to achieve this will be much harder than he had once expected. Follow Luc and his companions as they fight to bring balance to the Anaheim region, and their attempts to avoid capture, death and temptations.

Jenna can't go home because of her grandfather's rule about no Pokémon, other than the staff's Pokémon, so she and Zorua hide in the woods. Since Zorua can change its form, Jenna teaches it how to hide in plain sight as a human. As well as how to read and write and use sign language, plus light and Morse code. Jenna quickly learns that Zorua is not from her world but another one where only Pokémon live. Soon, she's reunited with the villain who caused her family's disappearance, and who was behind the attack on her grandmother. Will she run, or get revenge? *FYI: Some of these chapters are long.
