"You just can't save me." She would say. "I can try." He whispered as she drifted off to sleep. Her name was Ashton. She suffered from depression since age 8, been cutting since age 10, and starving since age 12. She knew from the beginning she had to hide it from any wandering eyes or curious friends. Dan gets saved from an oncoming truck that would have taken his life if he wasn't pulled back at the last second. After being saved he suddenly can see numbers floating above everyone he passes by and quickly figured out that those numbers represent the lifespan of that person counting down in seconds.
