This was the second time you've had a staring contest with the dead. You can't bring yourself to look away as your breath catches in your throat. Breathing is a struggle, but you are barely paying attention to that as you see his body get dragged away. You continue to look straight on, where his body used to be. It takes a few moments before you hear someone approaching you, leaves crunching under its boots. You feel them kneel beside you, slowly moving the restrains. You're supposing that they're loosening them, or doing something, but you just look at the floor, where he once was. You're unable to rip your eyes away from the spot.
