It is the 2nd strongest pack in the nation. 
Aphmau was (1 year old) found by Jackson in the O'Khasis territory and instead of killing her, he made her Omega after she "made" his Luna leave the pack. (3 at the time)

After 14 years of being abused by the entire pack, she is saved by Aaron. 
Aaron is the Alpha of the 1st strongest pack in the nation.  

Aphmau easily opens up to Aaron and Garroth but has some trouble with the others.

His curse could turn a human to a werewolf or kill them with a single glimpse of his crimson eyes. Of course, that wasn't really the most annoying part of being the Ultima. The annoying part was the constant beating of his soulmates heartbeat that he could hear in his ears. All. the. Time. And he desperately wanted to meet them.
