On Courtney's fifth birthday, her mom invites a girl named Zoe from across the street. Courtney doesn't like the idea. Zoe has dark skin, something Courtney isn't used to. But as the years go by, Courtney realizes that even though Zoe is different from what she's used to, the two of them are exactly alike.
This is a true story. I am Courtney and Zoe is my best friend who I met on my fifth birthday. We've been friends for over ten years.
